I was recently visiting MIT and presented the following problems, which are all hard (I think) and important. They are related to many fundamental issues in QC. Can anyone think of ways to make these questions more precise, or focus them down on easier subproblems?

I’m not an American citizen but if I were I’d vote for Ron. It’s so refreshing to hear someone with a specific point of view who is passionate about real issues. I don’t agree with everything he says but damn it’s nice to know where someone stands at least.

I was reading an anthology of Ramsey Campbell stories and in the prologue to “The Chimney”, which won a World Fantasy Award in 1978, he mentions that Harlan Ellison said that it was a stupid story and shouldn’t have won the award. Ellison is known for being “abrasive and argumentative”. Here is an interview with him on the subject of paying writers for their work.
