Moving things around a bit

Hi everybody. I’ve created a new tab above called “ideas for applications and experiments”, and moved some content into that section from the main blog.

The hardware is now working well enough to run most of these ideas, so over the next few months I will be providing updates on a variety of uses of the hardware, including some very cool “tests of quantumness” and some early AI and bioinformatics applications experiments.

If anyone has a cool idea for something to try that can be mapped to a quadratic unconstrained binary optimization problem / two dimensional Ising model in a magnetic field, let me know and maybe we can try it. As you might imagine now that the systems are working more or less as intended there is a substantial queue backlog accumulating, but we are slowly learning how to manage this. It is a nice problem to have!
