Bloomberg Businessweek article

Still actively contributing to The Rise of The Machines. Although I think the article really misses the main point, which is that it’s highly likely in the not too distant future that you will be an accessory to your phone.

  1. You are your phone’s accessory now. It commands you to add people’s numbers to its memory, to synch it with your notebook, etc.

I think that the main question is what will those people do who are happy now with this state of things, when your phone won’t need you anymore?

Will they wither, and drift away in happy virtual spaces, without further impact and import to the world around them?

Or will they be able and find a role to play, among their fellow humans, equally alone without their machines needing them anymore?
